    Hey Miguel

I am planning on walking te GR 11 this year with a good friend. Am I right in assuming that you hiked the entire GR 11 in 35 days as you have divided the route into 35 stages? I find a lot of descriptions and reports online that sometimes take more than 45 days to complete the trail. We are planning on camping almost every night.

    Greetings
    Ward

    Hola Miguel,

    Hola Miguel
Thank you very much for providing all the information on your website!

I am planning on walking the GR11 starting on 15th of October. Is it at all possible to start so late in the season, and if yes, would you be walking east to west or west to east?
I am assuming a lot of places would already be closed for the season, is there anything else I should consider when walking so late?
Thank you very much for your help, kind regards Stefan

    Hi Miguel

My boyfriend and I are planning to walk the GR11 or GR10 this summer starting mid June. Do you have any comment on choosing GR11 vs GR10?
    Thanks
    From Lill

Hi Miguel .Thank you for taking the trouble to provide hiking information about the Pyrenees it is very helpful. I’m planning on hiking the GR11 commencing mid June, Atlantic to the Med. I have searched for the GPX files that relate to the Cicerone GR11 Trail guide and also the stage variants but not have any luck. Is this something that you have and can share or if not are able to please provide any guidance on how one can go about obtaining them? I would be very grateful if you could assist me please. Many thank. Kind regards Nick

    Hello Miguel,

We are planning on two separate 5 day treks on the GR11, hut to hut, with my family. We would target this for mid – end July, staying in huts to avoid cooking/camping. We are all strong hikers. Where would you recommend we start and end each section, and which huts should we stay in?

Thank you for your advice. Fred Christensen

I’m planning 14-16 days of walking in GR11.
    1. What do you recommend?
    2. Can I be sure that I will have place to sleep in the huts?
    Thanks!

    Hello Miguel!
I’m planning to hike part of GR11 in september-october. Can you reccomend any part of the trail, with good transportation to get there? I would like to make it a two weeks travel and preferably in one direction. I had a bad knee injury year ago and since I’m trying to make as little of steep descents as possible.
    Thank you 😀

    Hey Miguel,

I am planning to walk a part of the GR11. My first idea is to walk from benasque to encamp, since I want to see the high pyrenees. Currently my biggest struggle is to find transport to both towns.

I can also drive to Benasque, and then find a way from Encamp back, but that is also pretty tricky. And i’d rather not come by car.

Do you have any recommendations for me? Or should i change my plans and pick other start/end places?

    Would really love your help!

BTW: I’m planning to go in the 2nd and 3rd week in september.

    Regards,
    Bob

Thank you Miguel, will do that 🙂

For other people who want to walk the high pyrenees part: I’m walking it the other way around. Theres a bus from Barcelona to Encamp. And I’ll book a taxi from Benasque to Vielha, where I’m taking a FLIX-bus to Toulouse for my flight back.

I’m looking forward it, will let you know how it was 🙂
